I'm not too sure what to feel now that there's no longer any official Saturday morning cartoon blocks. Vortexx was the last one holding out until yesterday, which will be replaced by Litton Entertainment's "One Magnificent Morning" next week.
Some of the more upset cartoon fanatics I know are blaming the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) for an educational/informational law...except this has been in place since the early 90's, no less. In a nutshell, the E/I law requires all channels to air three hours minimum of the kids of shows that the name implies. Well, I don't think it severely hindered cartoons in this timeslot if they've lasted up until now.
On the other hand, you can justifiably find privately owned, commercial networks guilty--such as NBC, Fox, ABC, and the CW--for what looks like selfishly pushing their requirements to Saturday morning and airing "dumber" content all throughout the week. Now I know they're not necessarily the same story as the primary kid's networks we know and love, but this is how Litton is taking advantage of feeding a few of these different stations their shows.
It's really noteworthy that Litton is situated in South Carolina, around the general area that the "Parent Television Council" originated. Back in February, the PTC challenged Turner, whose headquarters are in Atlanta, to alter Cartoon Network's lineup and tone down Adult Swim's inappropriate features. Even led by Stuart Snyder, CN never budged; on the other hand, I see Litton more likely to become susceptible to what these parents demand, since their block's focus is a family-geared demographic.
Not even touching on how cartoons haven't gotten much of a fair chance on Saturday morning anymore...well, I brought up the FCC so I may as well make it a little more political. "One Magnificent Morning" sounds like communism; it sounds rational on paper, but will hilariously fail so long as people can see through it. I can't seem to put Litton and 4kids in the same light at the moment, but it doesn't sound like this is the last we'll ever live to see of Saturday morning cartoons.

I've made a decision!
I am going to keep the United toons and my story arch on seperate groups, as suggested by transformers901. Later on, I will create a list of characters who will be in the story arch, therefore shaping the story arch group, while the current United Toons shall be run by the Co-Founders. and yes, I will be giving them access to modify the group anyway they want. However, the group must stay in tact, no hate, no argument, no anti-art at all! I am very strict about this. And Finally, This story arch will be available on August of 2015 (I'm starting the development of the story in July, but releasing it in August).
Possible closing down...
Hey guys, this is the Executioner
(A.K.A. the founder of the United Toons Club)
I am here to announce that I am POSSIBLY closing down TheUnitedToonsClub
It appears that there is confrontation between deviants in this group, and the absence or the lack commitment of the group. It is for these minor reasons I see that group sort of has no purpose to go on. If I do manage to close down the group, I will eventually bring it back up where a lot of changes are soon to follow... Such as blocking certain Deviants, and organization in the gallery, and etc.
Just a recap: I'll POSSIBLY Close Down the group...
Is it time to go against Viacom?
I really don't like to post things that generate a lot of creativity. But after Viacom forced this pair of streaming services to shut down, I think a few of us are sick of being idle.
Well, I'm talking about two sites, CN Reboot and Nick Reboot, playing vintage shows from well over a decade ago. Knowing how long Toonami Aftermath's been around for, it'd be unlikely Turner to slam their fist on their corporate office table and come after these people. I mean, giant waste of money in court, and shunning away fans that advertise you for free, right?
I wish I could say the same for Viacom; nothing screams family-friendly like putting everyone u
